Best Practices

Create slugs that are:
  • Short and easy to type
  • Descriptive of the content (e.g., winter-sale, new-product)
  • Consistent with your naming conventions
  • Free of special characters (use hyphens for spaces)
Good examples:
  • holiday-deals
  • summer-collection
  • free-shipping
Avoid:
  • Random characters: a7f3k9x2
  • Too long: check-out-our-amazing-new-summer-collection-with-discounts
  • Special characters: sale_2024!
Create links specific to each campaign or initiative to make tracking easier:
  • black-friday-2024 instead of a generic sale
  • newsletter-march instead of a generic newsletter
  • instagram-ad-spring to track specific channels
Use consistent naming conventions across campaigns to make analytics comparison easier.
Always test your links before including them in campaigns:
  1. Click the link yourself to verify it redirects correctly.
  2. Check the destination page loads properly.
  3. Test on both mobile and desktop.
  4. Verify tracking parameters are working.
Test clicks appear in your analytics dashboard within seconds.
Regularly review link analytics to understand what’s working:
  • Compare click-through rates across different campaigns
  • Identify which offers or products generate the most interest
  • Analyze geographic and device data for targeting insights
  • Track conversion patterns over time
Use these insights to:
  • Optimize future campaign messaging
  • Adjust targeting parameters
  • Test different offer types
  • Improve call-to-action language

Troubleshooting

If clicks aren’t appearing in analytics:
1

Wait for Processing

Click data typically appears within 10-30 seconds, but can take up to 5 minutes during high traffic.
2

Check Click Source

Some clicks may not be tracked:
  • Link previews by messaging apps
  • Bot traffic (automatically filtered)
  • Clicks with ad blockers or privacy tools
3

Verify Integration

Ensure your link provider integration is active in Brand > Settings.
Blueberry filters bot traffic and link preview requests to show accurate human engagement only.
